Introducing Horecava: an engaging new digital magazine for the food service industry

This past week, Horecava, an annual exhibition for professionals in the food service industry, released a unique real time magazine for the iPad and iPhone. The magazine, powered by imgZine and released as a pilot project in collaboration with Amsterdam’s RAI convention center, delivers the latest Horecava updates and food innovation news, as well as content from popular titles like Horeca EntreeDe RestaurantKrant and Misset Horeca.

Though it serves as a perfect companion for the Horecava event app, this one of a kind publication is not only relevant during the Horecava exhibition itself. Rather, it serves as an engaging and informative platform for Horecava attendees and food professionals the whole year round. As stated by Pim van Houten (Senior Communications and PR Manager at RAI): ‘‘we are really happy about the magazine’s release. We are certain that it will help us optimize our communication with clients and partners. In addition, the initiative will contribute to our community. In mid 2013, the pilot project will be evaluated. A separate app for the Horecava exhibition will also be available on various app stores.”

Besides providing relevant news, the magazine app is equipped with social media integration, so readers can share their favorite articles on different channels. In addition, the exhibition’s fans can receive the latest Horecava updates through the organization’s Twitter stream.
